Dad's company holds the international distributor's convention from August 18th to 21st at Langkawi, Malaysia. Dad took the opportunity to take Mom along as Dad was assigned a big suite and all Mom needs to pay was her own plane ticket.
About 40 to 50 distributors joined, together with about 20 of company employees. Dad and Mom flew to Langkawi on August 16th and spent August 17th touring around. The grand welcome party was held in the evening of the 17th with poolside buffet.
The resort is really pretty. The room was very comfortable and spacious with living room and 2 balconies.
They rode the little boat along the water passage, saw the eagles diving down to catch fish at Eagle By, blue crabs crawling on the sandy beach and monkeys hiding on the trees. The boat went into Bat Cave to see the hundreds of bats resting on the ceiling. See if you have keen eyes to spot the crabs, monkeys and bats in the following photos.....
The name Langkawi means marble eagle as Lang is eagle and kawi is marble in local languages.
Starting August 18th, there were group meetings every morning and Dad had to meet with various distributors together with other top mangement in the afternoons. Mom went out with the other spouses to go window shopping and enjoyed the spa, or just simply relax in the hotel. Dad also took the time off to swim and enjoy the facilities of the resort.
The weather was very pleasant in Langkawi, average of 32 degree celcius, not as hot as in Taipei. The sun rises about 7:20 am and the sunset is after 6 pm. Dad and Mom are early birds, so they could see the beautiful sunrise everyday!!

At the back of Dad/Mom was a little hut which is a very popular place for guys to propose to the ladies. You could be away from the crowd, in a secluded place, have your own chef cooking by the table and band playing romantic music.
Dad and Mom said they fully enjoyed the trip. They have other overseas trips in planning for September and October too. Let's wait for the photos!
