HuaLien

Our annual Chuang's get-together took place in HuaLien this year on October 4 to 6. Cynthia, Karel and their 5-month old daughter Athena joined. Yvonne also invited her friend Chris to come along. Including grandpa, grandma and Sandy's family, we have a total of 11 people. It would have been perfect if Darway could get away from his busy schedule to join the trip.

We took the Taroko Express to HuaLien, visited the Taroko National Park and stayed over at Tien-Shien for the night. Grandpa and grandma spent some quality time with the three grandchildren.

Several members got up early the second day to hike the trail near our hotel. We then went down south to visit Butterfly Valley, a forest reserve and stayed there for the second night.

On the third day, we came up north along the sea coast back to HuaLien. It was a fun and enjoyable trip for all. We got to see the beautiful mountain, the blue ocean and enjoyed good food.
